I value their experience in the home, but I don't know that they recognize the experience I bring to my position. When I was training in the home, I would have appreciated having someone explain to me the family dynamics and expectations for care. I was given tips like Mom doesn't like the client on her tummy too long, but nothing that really gave me insight into how the family functions or how my position fits in the structure.
